– John Perduyn, who ran the Chicago Midwest public relations office for Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co., here in the ’80s, is retiring as head of Goodyear PR in Akron.
– BMW chief executive Joachim Milberg, 58, will step down in May. Since taking the position from Bernd Pischetsrieder in February 1999, Milberg has led a recovery from BMW’s $4.1 billion purchase of Rover, which never turned a profit under BMW and was sold in pieces last year. Chief financial officer Helmet Panke, 55, will take the top spot.
