I feel that one way to acknowledge how much the emergency workers have done for all of us would be to establish a National Emergency Workers Day.
This day would be on Sept. 11, and would honor firefighters, police officers and other emergency workers.
I feel we all can agree that the emergency workers have done a great deal for our nation, not only on Sept. 11, but every other day when they respond to house fires, medical emergencies or criminal activities. They deserve to be recognized.
