Village officials have endorsed doubling, to $100, the fee charged for reinspection of restaurants and food-service establishments to correct health code violations.
The Village Board also approved doubling to $50 the fine for health violations.
At a Committee of the Whole meeting Monday, the board asked the village attorney to draw up an ordinance authorizing the fee increase for a vote at its Jan. 8 meeting.
