The school nurse accused of stealing stimulants has a chronic, incurable, possibly fatal disease called addiction (“Police say school nurse stole students’ medicine,” Metro, Dec. 12). Diverting drugs is a symptom of the disease, not an immoral action to deceive or hurt others.
The nurse needs help, not public humiliation.
