After two unprecedented $60 million plus weekends in a row, “Harry Potter” continued to have something to wave his wand about overseas, selling 8.8 million tickets at 8,378 theaters across 39 nations for a weekend gross of $45.3 million.

In the process, the British boy wizard’s total levitated to $313.2 million overall through just its fifth weekend of release.

Throw in the $253.3 million it has grabbed stateside, and its worldwide tally comes to a whopping $566.5 million, ranking it No. 12 on the all-time list.

Breaking the grosses down, “Potter” conjured $66.4 million from the United Kingdom after five weekends, $52.8 million from Japan in three, $46.2 million from Germany in four, $22.5 million from Australia in three, $18.2 million from France in two, $14.1 million from Spain in three, $10.5 million from Italy in two, and $10.1 million from Mexico in three.

South Korea joined the “Potter” bandwagon, welcoming the big screen adaptation of J.K. Rowling’s novel with a record-shattering $3.3 million from 186 venues.

The picture also landed the best opening in Hungary’s history with $358,641 from 34.
