Marko Zeljko Metelko, age 65, of Benton Harbor, MI, died December 22, 2001 at his home, born April 20, 1936 to Stephan and Ivka, nee Barkovich, Metelko; husband of Winnifred, nee Rogers, Metelko, married in Shelby, Montana on Sept. 25, 1959; father of Mark Metelko of Benton Harbor, MI, Tina (Chris) Wilson of Hartford, MI, Tammy (Scott) Kuykendall of Hammond, IN; grandfather of Mishelle, Ben, Doug, Russell, Courtney, Marc, Meagan, Hailey; brother of Kay (Joe) Stimac of Chicago, IL. Mr. Metelko loved his family and lived for his grandchildren. He was a veteran having served in the U.S. Air Force. He was a self-employed truck driver and a fruit farmer. Member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Chicago. A private memorial service will take place at a later date. Memorials may be made to the family.
