Marguerite Aurand Tiefenthal, of Western Springs, IL, 82 died January 1, 2002 after a short but courageous battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her loving family in her home in Plainwell, MI. She was a very active and dedicated school Social Worker. Marguerite is proceeded in death by her husband Dr. Harlan Tiefenthal; her daughter Elisabeth Amber Johnson; grandson Matthew Charles Clauson; she is survived by her children Susan (Charles) Clauson, Daniel (Kathy) Tiefenthal and Carol (Thomas) Paxton; a son-in-law Charles Johnson; eight grandchildren; four brothers and many nieces and nephews. In accordance with her wishes cremation has taken place. Services in her honor will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday February 2 at the First Presbyterian Church, 5250 Wolf Rd, Western Springs, IL. Contributions in her memory may be made to Hospice of Greater Kalamazoo or the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
