In response to “Future presidents” by Mike Calia (Voice of the people, Jan. 4), sky-high approval ratings during a war don’t guarantee anything, especially with an uncertain economy. Just ask George Herbert Walker Bush. Will this support remain in President George W. Bush’s corner when the Democrats get into the voting booth?
My money says no. It will be another close race in 2004.
