Edward J. Clarke, 84, of Elmhurst, formerly of LaGrange Park, beloved husband of the late Dolores; loving companion of Marion E. Neuffer; loving father of Patricia (David) Webb and John (Linda); proud grandfather of Michael, Jennifer (Brian), John, Michael and Lori; dear brother of Betty Atmore and the late Robert. Mr. Clarke served in the 593rd A.A.F. during WWII and is a 50 plus year member of the Robert E. Coulter American Legion Post #1941. He retired in 1981 after 44 years at Sears Roebuck. Visitation 3 to 9 p.m., Tuesday, at Hallowell & James Funeral Home, 1025 W. 55th St., Countryside. Funeral service 10 a.m., Wednesday at Emmanuel Episcopal Church, Kensington and Elm, LaGrange.
