Raymond F. Prochaska, 72, of Rockford, died Jan. 8, 2002 at 10:08 a.m. Born on Feb. 5, 1929 in Oak Park, IL, son of Frank and Betty (Tichy) Prochaska; married Stella Blatecky on Oct. 7, 1950. He worked as an electrician for local 134. Raymond was a member of the Moose Club Lodge, Post #1289, in Harvard, IL; survivors include wife, Stella; children, Susan (Bradford) Hardie of Littleton, MA, Karen (Gary) Galvin of Sunrise Beach, MO, Rick (Peggy) Prochaska of Winfield, IL and Nancy (Wayne) Krantz of Stoughton, WI; grandchildren, Christopher, Matt, Katie, Taylor, Madison, Jordan, Emily, Gregory, Nicholas, and Jacob; sister, Marjorie Prochaska of Berwyn, IL; predeceased by parents, and sister, Georgia Derengowski. Funeral service will be Thursday, Jan. 10, 2002 at 3 p.m. at Fitzgerald & Associates Funeral Home, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford. Rev. James J. Murphy will be officiating. Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. on Thursday at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society, 910 West Van Buren, Chicago, IL 60607.
