The Gurnee Plan Commission has recommended that additional signs be allowed for new business tenants in the Grand-Hunt Center at Grand Avenue and Hunt Club Road.
The original development agreement only allowed for signs for two tenants.
A building vacated by a Supercrown bookstore is to be occupied by a Tweeter Audio and Video store, a Sprint Express store and a Panera Bread restaurant, all of which need their own signs. A Helzberg Diamonds store remains in the building.
“There’s room for some give-and-take here,” said Tracy Velkover, Gurnee senior planner.
The recommendation will go to the Village Board for final consideration.
