From the opinions I have read about the treatment of Afghan detainees in Guantanamo, Cuba, it seems many people believe that two wrongs make a right and that the US–supposedly the representative of the civilized world–needn’t worry about obeying international laws it helped establish. How tragically foolish.

Imprisoning people for their so-called barbaric acts and then treating them barbarically is the worst form of hypocrisy, and an outright admission that the U.S. is on the same level, morally, as terrorists.
