Helen O. Borger, nee Ownbey, 80, of New York City, NY, Jan. 30, 2002, loving mother of Adrienne (Louis) Lower of Winnetka and Springfield, IL and Vero Beach, FL; cherished grandmother of Brandon Lower of Chicago and Samantha June Lower of San Francisco, CA; dear sister of William Ownbey of Greensboro, NC. Mrs. Borger was born in Newport News, VA and grew up in Greensboro, NC. After graduating from Greensboro College, she went on to receive a Graduate Degree in Music from the Juilliard School in New York. For her entire life she worked in the high fashion industry and was Fashion Director of Christian Dior in the United States. She also worked with haute couture designers Arnold Scassi, Ronald Amey and Michael Volbrach, among others. Service and interment private. Arrangements by N.H.
