Maurice E. Dunne, age 74, of Arlington Heights for 31 years, beloved husband of Betty M., nee Farrell, for 41 years; loving father of Jennifer Smith and Clodagh (Brett) McCall; loving grandfather of Ciara Smith, and Liam McCall; dear son of the late Charles and Margaret. Born September 9, 1927 in Dublin, Ireland. He died Saturday, February 2, 2002 at Northwest Community Healthcare, Arlington Heights. Maurice was a retired Regional Manager for the Irish Tourist Board, Chicago. He was the past president of the Chicago Chapter of Skal, a member of the Irish Fellowship Club and past member of the Friendly Sons of St. Patrick Glee Club, New York. He was loved and will be deeply missed by his family. Visitation at the Ahlgrim & Sons Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Hwy., Palatine from 3 to 9 p.m. Monday Funeral Tuesday February 5, 8:30 a.m. to Our Lady of Wayside Church, 432 W. Park St., Arlington Heights. Mass at 9:30 a.m. Interment private.
