Alfred H. Levin, was born November 8, 1915 in Chicago and died February 4, 2002. He was preceded in death by his parents Benjamin and Rae Levin, and a younger brother, Milton (Irma). He was a member of The Chicago Typographical Union #16, and as a World War II veteran, he was an active member of The Amos J. Cummings VFW Post #1612. His greatest joy in life was attending Chicago Cubs baseball games, and purchased season tickets and attended every game after his retirement. He is survived by a younger brother, Eugene (Cosette); his sister-in-law Irma; and the children of his late brother Milton: Valerie (John) Reynolds, David (Lois) Levin, Susan (Tom) Perdue, Allison Baer, Ray (Sue) Joseph, and 19 grandnieces and nephews. Services will be held Wednesday February 6, 11 a.m., with visitation for 1 hour immediately preceding the funeral at Benson Funeral Home, 3224 W. Montrose Ave. Interment will be private. 773-478-5800.
