John C. Van Fleet, aged 73, of Kentwood, went to be with his Lord, Friday, February 1, 2002. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean. He is survived by his children, John A. and Kelly Van Fleet of Sterling, IL, David E. and Valerie Van Fleet of Grand Rapids, MI, and Peter B. and Mary Van Fleet of Dorr, MI; his four grandchildren, John A. Van Fleet, Heather Van Fleet, Brian Van Fleet, and Michelle Van Fleet; his brother, George Van Fleet of Baltimore, MD; his sister and brother-in-law, Kathryn and Robert Renier of Elmhurst, IL. According to his wishes, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, Feb. 23, 2002 at 11 a.m. at Ascension Lutheran Church, 262744th St. SE, Kentwood, MI. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ascension Lutheran Church.
