John C. Francen of Venice, FL, age 77, formerly of Bolingbrook, IL, passed away Friday, December 14, 2001. Dearest husband of Joan; loving father of Pamela (Tom) Rosich, Deborah (Charles) Markle, Cynthia (George) Schumacher, Karen Stanula, John (Paulette), Alan (Cynthia), Gary (Lisa), Kevin (Paulette) Francen, and John (Marcy) Stanula. He is also the loving grandfather of 31 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. John is survived by a brother, Nels (Norene); and sisters, Dorothy Webb, Jerry Collins and Arlene Bickle. He was preceded in death by son, Terry; daughter, Charlene; and granddaughter, Amy Markle. John was born in Fort Madison, IA on September 2, 1924. He was an erector and machinist by trade, and a Past Master of South Park Lodge #662 in 1962. Presently he was a member of the Masonic Lodge #422 in Lansing, IL. The Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, February 10 at 3 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church of Oak Lawn, Illinois at 100th and Central Avenue in Oak Lawn.
