John P. Hoffmann, age 72, of Wildwood, IL died February 6th, 2002 at Condell Medical Center in Libertyville. He was born 1/4/30 in Chicago, IL. He was an avid farmer and gardener. He owned and operated ‘Big Johns’ Vegetable stand in Mundelein for 27 years. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army and belonged to St. Paul the Apostle Church. He retired from Bell and Gossett after 35 years of service in 1995. He is survived by his beloved wife Rita of 50 years; loving father of Theresa (John) Hintz, Catherine (Gary) Pribyl, Mary Louise (Hoffmann) Sullivan, Susan (Carlos) Hernandez and Thomas Hoffmann, Judith (Thomas) Nuetzmann; dear grandfather of Justin, David, Rachel, Ryan, Andrew, Rebekah, Renee, Alisa, Britney, Christine, Peter, Michelle, Jonathan; great-grandfather of Natalie; two sisters Helen (Lawrence) Masek, Ruth (Edwin) Raetzman; one brother William (Arlene) Hoffmann; preceded in death by sister Caroline. Funeral Mass will be 11 a.m. Saturday February 9th at St. Paul the Apostle Church, 6401 Gages Lake Rd, Gurnee. Interment All Saints Cemetery, Des Plaines. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Marsh Funeral Home of Gurnee, 305 Cemetery Rd. Gurnee, IL and Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. 847-336-0127
