I am proud of St. Louis Rams quarterback Kurt Warner. If sports columnist Rick Morrissey feels inclined to edit Warner’s comments about God (“Preaching has its place, but it’s not here,” Sports, Feb. 2), is he as inclined to edit other sports figures when they act inappropriately? I doubt it.
Many reporters feel more uncomfortable writing about Warner’s faith and than about DUI’s, domestic abuse and drug use. You cannot have it both ways.
Write only about the sports activity–period.
