John W. Ebert Sr., age 83, February 7, 2002, in Joliet, late of Lockport. Survived by his loving children, Doris (Richard) Goberville, Joanne (Gene) Oglesby, Kenneth (Juanita “Peanut”) Ebert, John (Tonilynn-fiancee) Ebert; dear grandfather of 13; great-grandfather of 17. Born in Chicago, living in Lockport/New Lenox area the past five years, coming from California. Veteran of U.S. Marine Corps, he was a member of the Senior Pinochle Club and Peace Lutheran Church in New Lenox. Preceded in death by his wife, Agnes (2001), his parents, and two brothers. Visitation Sunday 3 to 8 p.m. at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, Cedar at Francis Roads, New Lenox. Services will be held 10 a.m. on Monday, February 11, 2002, at Peace Lutheran Church, New Lenox.
