James H. Morris, 51, a deliveryman for United Parcel Service in Chicago for more than 30 years, died Thursday, Jan. 31, of a cardiac arrest. He was working when he died. Mr. Morris grew up in Mississippi, the third youngest of 12 siblings. After graduating high school in 1969, he followed several of his older brothers and sisters to Chicago, where within two weeks he landed a job with UPS. Awards he received for his stellar driving record at UPS and his dedication to service decorate his home. Mr. Morris was known to help neighbors shovel their driveways and he frequently bought fresh vegetables for his friends and family. He is survived by his third wife, Irishsteain, whom he married in 1992; three daughters, Lillie Robinson, Veronica Martin and Monica Taylor; a son, James H. Jr.; three sisters, Gayle Morris, Faye Caldwell and Dorothy Eggleston; five brothers, Ezra, Leonard, Bobby, Larry and Cardell; and five grandchildren. Services have been held.
