Wallace R. “Swede” Nelson, late of Lake Forest, formerly of the East Side of Chicago, beloved husband of the late Ann, nee Malcic; dear father of Pam (Alan) Ast; fond brother of the late Clyde (late Virginia) and the late Harvey Nelson; dear brother-in-law of Rich (Darlene) Malcic, Julie (late Ray) Hansen, late Olga Kelly, late August (Mary) Malcic and the late Mary (late Bill) Perkich; fond uncle to many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Lifelong friend of Tom (Elma) Borozan and dear friend of Donna Tapper. Member of the Loyal Order of the Moose Allied Post #369, American Legion and a Navy Veteran of WWII. Visitation Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Memorial Service at 11 a.m. at the Claude E. Griesel Mortuary, 10240 S. Ewing, Chicago. Interment family lot.
