Raymond Kaiser, 81, of Rancho Mirage, CA, and formerly of Wilmette, died Feb. 7, at the Eisenhower Medical Center. Ray was born June 20, 1920 in Chicago. He graduated from Steinmetz High School and Illinois Institute of Technology. Ray was a partner in The Management Consulting Firm, Alexander Proudfoot Co. while living in the Chicago area. Ray found the time from his busy work schedule to get involved in numerous charitable organizations, and even occasionally to pursue one of his favorite pastimes “Golf”. In 1976, Ray and his wife, Marilyn, moved to Indian Wells, CA, where he continued to pursue two of his passions, golf and giving back to the community. In November 1999, the Desert Community “Honored” Ray for his contributions to the entire Coachella Valley by naming him “The 1999 Good Samaritan of The Year”. In addition, he was awarded a “Star” on the Palm Springs “Walk of Fame”. Survivors include his wife, Marilyn; a daughter, Kaaren Harms of Northridge, CA; three sons, Douglas (Ann) of Glenview, Donald (Barb) of Novato, CA and Gregory (Peggy) of Steamboat Springs, CO; nine grandchildren, Edward, Geoffery, Danielle, Ryan, Kevin, Joe, Cameron, Allison and Michael; and one great-grandchild, Darin. A funeral Mass will be held in Indian Wells, CA.
