Thank you for your courage and foresight in publishing the consideration of an American citizens’ Middle Eastern peace group (“Release Middle East from the professionals,” Perspective, Feb. 3). It is dismaying, indeed, that such short shrift is given the tragic circumstances of the Palestinians–circumstances that have engendered their acts of terrorism. It is only through the forceful intervention of the American government that we can hope for sanity and peace in the area. At present, it appears our government is unresponsive to this situation. Thanks for bringing a small opening for justice to prevail.
