Harry Albert Johns, 77, formerly of Northbrook, IL died at his home in Pinehurst, NC on Feb. 6, 2002 from complications of cancer surgery. He served in the U.S. Navy for three years during WW II and later graduated from Ohio State University receiving a B.A. degree in Journalism in 1949. Mr. Johns served as a Special Agent with the FBI under J. Edgar Hoover. He ended a 28 year career at the Sears Tower as National Director of Policy and Benefits. After retirement he joined the Chicago personnel consulting firm of Jannotta, Bray and Associates. He and his wife then retired to Pinehurst, NC in 1989. Surviving are his wife of 54 years, Adelaide; sons, Craig Johns of Atlanta, GA, and Mark Johns of San Diego, CA, and daughter, Christine Johns of Batavia, IL. He was predeceased by one son, Scott Johns. He leaves nine grandchildren.
