Kent Marshall Taylor, 41, of Schaumburg. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Michael’s Episcopal Church, 647 Dundee Ave., Barrington, IL 60010. Born Sept. 4, 1960, in Chicago, he died suddenly Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2002, at Alexian Brothers Medical Center, Elk Grove Village. Burial will be in Clarendon Hills Cemetery. Mr. Taylor graduated from the Latin School of Chicago in 1978 and attended St. Chrysostom’s Episcopal Church, where he served as an acolyte. A member of the Theta Chi fraternity, he graduated from Bradley University with a bachelor’s degree in computer science. Mr. Taylor was a certified machine tool and sales engineer, a charter member of the CMTSE organization, and vice president of Sanders Tools & Supplies, Inc. He was a member of the Chicago Yacht Club and a former president of the local SME Chapter. Kent was also a soccer coach for his son’s team in Schaumburg and taught second grade Sunday School at St. Michael Episcopal Church, where he was a member. Survivors include his wife, Karen, nee Schleiter, whom he married Feb. 14, 1987, in Des Plaines; children, Philip, Andrea and Stephen; mother, Dolores Taylor of Chicago; sister, Jacquie (Jim) Tauber of Kenilworth; brother, Hunt (Susan) Taylor of Peoria; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Harold. Visitation will from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, at the church.
