The Reverend George A. Slominski, son of the late William and Agnes Slominski, died February 8, 2002. He was the brother of the late Edward Slominski. Fr. George served the Archdiocese of Chicago for over 57 years. He was a professor at the major seminary of Saint Mary of the Lake University in Mundelein, IL, and continued to teach at Loyola University and Calumet College. He was Pastor of Saint Ann’s Parish in Lansing, IL, and ministered to the sick for many years at Columbus Hospital, Christ Hospital and Little Company of Mary Hospital. Visitation for Fr. George will be at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home, 4727 W. 103rd St., Oak Lawn, on Monday from 3 to 8 p.m. and will lie in state Tuesday at St. Christina Church, 111th and Christiana Avenue, from 4 to 8 p.m. There will be a wake service Tuesday at 7 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. Burial will be in St. Adalbert Cemetery.
