Thomas Franklin Spoehr, age 76, died Feb. 5, 2002 at his home in Rancho Santa Fe, CA. Born Sept. 5, 1925 in Chicago, he had lived in Rancho Santa Fe for 11 years. Mr. Spoehr was a 1947 graduate of Princeton University. At his retirement he was the President/CEO of VoiShan Industries, a subsidiary of Fairchild Industries. Survivors include his wife, Marjory of Rancho Santa Fe; three daughter, Susan Corliss of Portland, OR, Pamela Gonce and Patricia Dalrymple, both of Moorpark, CA; one son, Michael Spoehr of Moorpark, CA; two stepdaughters, Julianne Gilker of Irvine, CA and Michelle Plazat of Chatsworth, CA; two stepsons, N. Michael Alfe of Los Angeles and Andrew Alfe of Northridge, CA; two brothers, David of Sanibel, FL and Peter of St. Augustine, FL; 16 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Memorial Services will be held Friday, Feb. 15 at 11 a.m. in the Church of the Nativity Catholic Church, Rancho Santa Fe. Private cremation and inurnment will be held.
