Alwin A. Koenig, 77, died suddenly on Jan. 10, 2002, born in Chicago, where he lived much of his life, Vet. U.S. Army Air Corps. WWII, retired after 30 years of service from Western Electric as a manager. The family moved to Seven Lakes, NC from Baltimore, MD in 1980. Memorial Service will be held at St. James Lutheran Church in Southern Pines, NC on Sunday, Feb. 17, at 3 p.m. Predeceased by his wife, Phyllis; after 52 years of marriage; survived by son, Andrew A. of Lewis, DE; daughter, Phyllis Marion of Stoney Brook, NY; and two grandchildren.
