William M. O’Keefe, born Dec. 7, 1919, and born into eternal life, Feb. 13, 2002, after a valiant battle with cancer. Beloved husband of Celeste O’Keefe, nee Kent, for 56 years; son of the late William and Agnes; devoted father of Kathleen (Noel) Cusick, Rev. Michael, O.Carm., Diane (Dan) Kaschak, R. Patrick (Cass), Celeste (John) Madormo, Theresa (Bill) Murray, Mary Agnes (Jeff) Nall, Margaret Beth (David) Sanchez, Thomas (Cathy), Don (Cathy), the late Danny; cherished grandfather of 22; Patrick, Kelly (Ralph Larson) Cusick, Katie, Amanda Kaschak, Molly and Emily O’Keefe, Caroline, Christine and Mary Madormo, Matthew, Paul and Caitlin Murray, Michael Nall, Allison Sanchez, Meghan, Danny, Kevin and Maura O’Keefe, Liam, Brigid, Maggie and Conor O’Keefe; brother of the late Richard; son-in-law of the late Les and Mary Kent. Bill was a 1938 graduate of Mount Carmel High School and a Member of the Mount Carmel Hall of Fame. He attended St. Joseph College in Rensselaer, IN and was a U.S. Army-Air Corps Veteran of WWII. Funeral Saturday, 8:15 a.m. from Blake-Lamb Funeral Home, 4727 W. 103rd St., Oak Lawn, to St. Cajetan Church, 112th & Artesian, Chicago for 9 a.m. Mass. Interment Mt. Olivet Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the William M. & Celeste O’Keefe Scholarship Fund at Mount Carmel High School would be appreciated.
