Amtrak is still (and should be) a vital part of America’s national transportation network. The airlines are not able to keep up with the demand, what with all the security problems and delays. The highways are already overcrowded. What about people who live in towns where there is no other alternative–no bus or air service–except the train?
We need our trains here in America and we should find ways of not only keeping Amtrak around but of improving its service in as many ways as we can.
