Here is the solution for campaign finance reform. Eliminate all political contributions and all political campaigns altogether.
Millions of Americans are so sick and tired of the politicians barking at us for years on end. They say different things to different crowds.
I propose the political parties pick their candidates six weeks before the election. Then two weeks later the media should give them five minutes and/or 500 words to state their positions to the public. Then two weeks before the election, another five minutes or 500 words, and that’s it.
Then let the voters make up their minds. No more payola.
What a relief that the people wouldn’t have to listen to all those countless speeches.
