Rose Baum, nee Atkins, 95, devoted wife of the late Sidney Baum for 70 years, was gathered to her ancestors Monday February 18, 2002, surrounded by her loving children, Lyla (Marvin) Marder, Joy (Herbert) Horwich and Robert (Jane) Baum; adoring grandmother of Nancy Marder (Ben Shain), Reggi Marder (Joseph Eppstein), Daniel (Allison) Marder, Jill (Irwin) Bernstein, Penny (Brett) Keeshin, David Horwich (Paula Hlan), Laura Friedensohn, Susan Baum; and her 20 loving great-grandchildren; dear sister of the late Etta Sternfeld Fromm, Ida Getz, Allen Atkins and Irving Atkins; beloved sister-in-law of Hattie Atkins and Dorothy Weiner; and aunt of many affectionate nieces and nephews. Services Wednesday 1:30 p.m. at Anshe Emet Synagogue, 3760 N. Pine Grove, Chicago. Interment Westlawn. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to Anshe Emet Synagogue or Hadassah.
