John A. “Jack” Dymek, 81, formerly of Miami Springs, FL, died Saturday, Feb. 16, 2002 in a Tennessee health care facility. He served as a Captain with the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II and retired as a crew scheduler with Pan American Airlines. Mr. Dymek was of the Roman Catholic faith. He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Lorraine M. Dymek; and is survived by his son, John Lawrence (Kelly Lee) Dymek of Soddy Daisy, TN; one granddaughter, Helen Lorraine Dymek; and a brother, Eugene Dymek of Fontana, WI. A Memorial Service and inurnment will be held Thursday, Feb. 21, 2002 at the U.S. National Cemetery, Chattanooga, TN, with Father John O’Neill officiating. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the Disabled American Veterans. The family will receive friends from 12 noon to 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 21, 2002 at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson, TN 37343.
