Irving D. Merens, age 84, WWII Veteran, passed away Feb. 17, 2002 from complications of Alzheimer’s disease, beloved husband of Goldia, nee Blitstein; loving father of Norwin (Laura) and Lyle; dear brother of Seymour (late Frieda) and Lyman (Miriam); devoted son of the late Lillian and David Merens; cherished uncle to many nephews and nieces. Employed by Chicago-based electronics distributor, Mid-America Company, in engineering and sales management positions for 38 years until his retirement in 1984. Chapel service at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 20 at The Piser Chapel, 9200 N. Skokie Blvd., Skokie, IL. Interment at Westlawn Cemetery, Chicago, IL.
