Cook County State’s Atty. Richard Devine was reported in good condition Wednesday after undergoing surgery for prostate cancer at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, a hospital spokeswoman said.
Devine, 58, first learned of his prostate problem when he had a routine physical that found a higher than normal prostate-specific antigen count.
Doctors said Devine was expected to make a full recovery after the procedure, which requires three days in the hospital and convalescence at home.
