Ronald Lee Elbon, age 58, of Cashiers, NC, died Monday, Feb. 18, 2002. Mr. Elbon was a Captain in the Marine Corps during the Vietnam War from 1965 to 1969. He joined the Xerox Corporation in Phoenix. From 1971 to 1979, Mr. Elbon was Vice President of Romanel Golub & Company in Chicago. From 1979 to 1981, he founded and was President of Ackerman/Elbon/Rydin Partnership, Chicago. From 1981 to 1983, Mr. Elbon was President of National Brokerage, Ackerman & Company in Atlanta. From 1983 to 1986, he founded and was chairman of the Great South Realty Company of Atlanta. From 1986 to 1992, Mr. Elbon was Founder and Chairman of Capital City Development Corporation, Atlanta, which developed Capital City Plaza. From 1992 to 1997, he was Founder and President of Tiger Realty Advisors, Inc., Atlanta. From 1997 to 1999, Mr. Elbon was Director of Commercial Brokerage, The Beach Company in Charleston, SC. During Mr. Elbon’s business career, he served on numerous boards and charitable organizations. Married in 1999, Mr. Elbon is survived by his wife, Robin Visceglia; mother and father, Marvine and Ernest Elbon, CO; cousin, Ann Oliphant, CO. A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 23, 2002 in the Chapel of Roswell Funeral Home. Dr. Ron Bradley officiating.
