Ailene Ellen Small, born Oct. 28, 1942, in Chicago, died Feb. 15, 2002 in Claremore, OK, preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Small; and her parents, Charles and Florence, nee Weiss, Friedman; survived by sons, Robert and Christopher Small; daughter and son-in-law, Debra and Dennis Knight; sisters and brothers-in-law, Carol and Leslie Schuman and Phyllis and Bill Hartman; brother and sister-in- law, Donald and Gayle Friedman; grandmother of eight; surrogate mother and grandmother of many. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to any breast cancer foundation. Grave- side services were held at 3 p.m. Monday, Feb. 18, 2002, at Washington Cemetery in Rogers County, Oklahoma.
