The devastation in the Mideast seems to have always existed, not just the last 16 or 17 months. It’s beyond comprehension to realize the majority of the Earth’s people have only known the Israelis and the Palestinians in conflict. For decades, their political leaders and ours have tried to resolve these atrocities, sadly to no avail.
This is not a conflict but what could be termed a religious war. Maybe it’s time and worth a try to ask our leaders to persuade the Israeli and Palestinian officials to include the world’s religious leaders of all denominations in the peace process. Without them, they may never have a final solution and a peaceful co-existence.
Also we should hope other countries in turmoil will consider including religious leaders of all faiths in their peace efforts.
