Our lives today are full of many advertisements. Most advertisements appeal to teenagers. These advertisements can vary from clothes to make-up, to video games, to cigarettes–yes, cigarettes. Today’s population seems to be infatuated with cigarettes.
Cigarette companies rely on advertisements, but sometimes they take advertising their product too far. Popular advertisements usually show beautiful women or handsome men surrounded by the opposite sex while smoking cigarettes.
Now what is that going to show the average teenager? That is going to show them that all the so-called “beautiful people” are smoking, so why shouldn’t they.
What it doesn’t show is what can eventually happen by smoking cigarettes–sicknesses such as cancers of the mouth, lungs, nose; chronic bronchitis; emphysema; and infertility. These are only some of the problems that can happen from smoking cigarettes.
