The North Central Narcotics Task Force in Elgin arrested four alleged gang members last week in McHenry in connection with cocaine trafficking. For the last four months, undercover agents have investigated a street gang called the 14s. Police seized about 8 ounces of cocaine during a sting Friday outside a McHenry grocery store. The entire investigation netted nearly a pound of cocaine with a street value of more than $4,000, authorities said. Antonio Arellano, 25, and his cousin Jaime Arellano, 20, both of McCullom Lake, and Jose Alfredo Herrara-Soto, 28, of Woodstock were charged with unlawful delivery of a controlled substance and other drug offenses. Alejandro Martinez, 28, of Woodstock was charged with drug conspiracy, according to reports. All are scheduled to appear in court March 5, authorities said.
