Melissa Jean Bone, of Calgary, passed away at the Foothills Hospital on Sunday, Feb. 24, 2002, at the age of 22 years. Melissa was born in Calgary. She graduated from Western Canada High School in 1998 and was attending University of Calgary at the time of her passing. She was a Speed Skater and competed internationally in inline skating. She was a gifted artist and an outstanding athlete in High School. She is survived by her father Bill Bone and her mother Judy Getschow; three brothers, Andew, Richard and Jeffrey all of Calgary; she is also survived by her grandmother Helen Bone of Calgary and Jean Getschow of Chicago; 12 aunts and uncles from Chicago and four aunts and uncles in Calgary, all who loved and admired her. Melissa had a zest for life and cherished the wind against her face. She died in the spring time of her life.
