I cannot find words to express my anger and disgust at the brutal murder of Daniel Pearl. The fact that it happened in my country and was perpetrated by people who call themselves Muslims makes it all the more painful. My head hangs in shame.
The sick minds behind this heinous crime must have taken particular pride in killing Daniel Pearl because he represented three things that they hate the most–he was a Jew, an American and a correspondent of Wall Street Journal, a symbol of capitalism. My spirit is dampened when I think about Daniel Pearl, his wife and their unborn child.
