Robert Nixon, WWII Army Veteran, beloved husband of the late Rose; devoted son of the late Peter and Jane Nixon; loving brother of Donald, the late Ted and Dorothy; dear brother-in-law of Phyllis LaMonica; also survived by several nieces and nephews. Mr. Nixon was a member of the 79th Infantry Division, reported as MIA and was a POW in Germany. Received a Field Commission from Master Sargeant to 2nd Lieutenant. Decorated with four Bronze Stars, two Oak Leaf Clusters, the Cross of Lorraine, the POW Medal, and many others. Funeral service Monday, March 4, 10 a.m. at the Ryan-Parke Funeral Home, 120 S.
