It’s nice to know that blatant political nepotism is not dead in Chicago. I doubt that Mike Madigan could look worse than he already does after his comments of the last couple of weeks, but the blatant full-court press on his daughter’s behalf would make even a straight-ticket voter question the integrity of the political process.
I am roughly the same age as Lisa Madigan, and I sincerely doubt her qualifications to hold the post that she and her father are working so desperately to attain.
The position of attorney general is one that invokes an image of a seasoned jurist, pursuing the highest available post, not a moderately experienced prodigy pursuing a position of entitlement.
