John P. “Jack” Shine, 83, longtime resident of Glenview, March 3, husband of Joanne; father of Tom (Judie) Shine, Mary (the late John) Koziol, Mark (Kathy) Shine, Eileen (Tim) Longust and Monica Leslie; grandpa of Liz, Becky (Justin), Matt, Molly, Dave, Rachel, Dan, Christie, Kevin, Michael and Jeffrey; brother of Eileen (Bill) Munbach and the late Molly (Ralph) Gall; uncle of many nieces and nephews. Veteran of WWII U.S. Army. Graduate of the University of Notre Dame Class of 1948. Retired General Manager of New York Life Insurance Company. Visitation Wednesday 4 to 8 p.m. at N.H. Scott & Hebblethwaite Funeral Home, 1240 Waukegan Rd., Glenview (2 blks. south of Lake Avenue, on west side). Family and friends will meet for Funeral Mass on Thursday 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, corner of Church and Grove Streets, Glenview. Interment private.
