Herbert “Herb” Raymond Becker, died in Prescott, AZ, on March 4, 2002. He was 75 years old. Herb was born June 1, 1926 in Chicago, IL, the son of George and Mariel, nee Clark, Becker. Herb served in the United States Navy during WWII. He worked for General Dynamics as a plant engineer, retiring in 1986. In 1999, Herbert moved to Prescott, AZ, from Waupaca, WI. He was a member of VFW, American Legion and the Elks. Herb enjoyed fishing and playing cards. He also enjoyed sitting down and watching sports on television. Herb is survived by his four daughters and sons-in-law; Catherine (Roland) Hansen of Maumee, OH, Jorgiann (Dave) Schuck of Bowling Green, OH, Jennifer Becker of Perrysburg, OH and Paula (John) Sauer of Virginia Beach, VA; six sons and daughters-in-law, Charles Becker of Wauconda, IL, Jeffrey Becker, Steven (Nancy) Becker of Elgin, IL, Rodney (Rosa) Becker of Benson, AZ, William Becker of Toledo, OH, and Martin (Laurie) Becker of Maumee, OH; one sister, Florence Mychko of Bensenville, IL; 13 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Committal service for Herbert Raymond Becker is set for 1 p.m., Monday, March 11, 2002 at Emblem Cemetery in Elmhurst, IL. The Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home, and the Robert J. Smith Funeral Home assisted the family.
