Tragedies and catastrophes have become daily fare throughout the world, and our country is certainly no exception. But the inexplicable fact that so many infants and children can find themselves in mortal peril at the hands of their parents or caregivers seems to me to be the absolute worst of the many venal aberrations too many people embrace.
I would suggest that stopping this madness is far more important than so many, many foolish things and ideas we pursue.
Forget the whales; save the children!
