Sandra Lee Baxley, nee Paolini, formerly of Bolingbrook, died Feb. 22, 2002 in Plano, TX after a courageous 11month battle with pancreatic cancer. Sandra was born April 11, 1940 in Buffalo, NY. After graduating from Cleveland Hill High School in 1957, she attended Ithaca College as a theatre major and radio/TV minor. On April 3, 1964 she married Ronald G. Baxley and lived in Chicago, Atlanta, GA and Bolingbrook, IL prior to moving to Plano, TX in 1991. While in Bolingbrook, she worked in school administration for the Valley View School District for 13 years. After moving to Texas, she served as exhibits coordinator for the Society of Petroleum Engineers for 10 years. She leaves behind her husband and best friend, Ron; daughter, Valerie and son-in-law, Eric Powley; stepsons, Daniel Baxley and Drew Baxley; sister, Gloria Hewson; brother, Herbert Paolini; several nieces and nephews; and the love and support of many wonderful friends.
