Thomas L. Friedman’s “Quelling the rage of Muslims” (Commentary, March 7) was thoughtful and analytical.
His advocacy that Israel abandons its “insane settlement land grab” is laudable.
He misses the mark, however, on a couple of points. Most Palestinians feel that violence was imposed upon them. Israeli occupation is imposed by military force and is associated with land confiscation, settlement building, house demolition, etc. Also his conjecture that Muslim hatred will remain no matter what Israel does has no logical or historical basis.
